Delphia in charter in Croatia

Delphia as a charter investment

A Delphia in charter in Croatia: the yacht earns money during the season and you cruise it yourself in your owner weeks. Calculate with realistic weekly rates, costs and taxes for 2027.

How Yacht Invest works

Your yacht works for you

You buy a new, fully equipped motor yacht with air conditioning, heating and generator. A charter base in Croatia rents it out during the season and takes care of guests, cleaning and technical support.

Buy the yacht

New and fully equipped for charter, with transport and commissioning in Croatia.

Have it chartered

The base markets the weeks through agencies. Discount, agency commission, VAT and the base service fee are deducted from the charter price.

Use it yourself

In your owner weeks you are on board yourself. We show the saving compared to chartering separately.

Income after costs

After berth, insurance, service, maintenance and reserves, your owner income before tax remains.

The model

Charter yields 2027

Default: shipyard list price of the charter configuration, the suggested charter weeks and 2 owner weeks (1 × shoulder season, 1 × June or early September). You can adjust all values on the model page.

Personal advice

Let us calculate your yacht

We advise you on model, equipment, charter base and financing – and calculate with your actual offer.

Basis

How we calculated

Weekly rates 2027 are list prices for the boat including 13% Croatian VAT, excluding skipper, deposit and mandatory packages. They are based on the published 2027 and 2026 price lists of charter bases in Croatia for boats built 2024–2026 with air conditioning and generator, checked in October 2026. The market softened in 2026; some operators reduced their 2027 high-season rates by 6–9%. We therefore calculate at the lower end of the ranges.

Occupancy: In 2026, catamarans in Croatia were chartered for 18.4 weeks on average and sailing yachts for 16.9 weeks, 23 weeks in the Zadar region. Our own base in Sukošan plans with 21 weeks. New boats usually book better than average.

Deductions from the charter price: 5% customer discount, 20% agency commission on the discounted price, the included 13% VAT and a 15% charter base service fee for check-in, cleaning, technical support and guest care. At our own base in Sukošan the service fee is 5%.

Owner costs: berth according to the 2026 annual price lists of Croatian marinas (net, with surcharges for catamarans and charter boats), hull and liability insurance at 1% of the purchase price, engine service and annual maintenance according to our calculations for L38, L42, L46 and L47. Values for larger models are extrapolated. Fees, licences and the wear reserve are estimates.

Purchase prices: shipyard list prices of the configuration described, net of VAT. Dealer discount, tender and initial charter equipment are not included. When buying through a Croatian company, the 25% Croatian VAT is usually deductible as input tax.

Own use: Many owners chartered themselves before buying and paid the full weekly rate plus extras. Using their own yacht, this expense no longer arises privately. We therefore value each owner week at the full weekly rate of the respective season according to the price list (which includes agency commission and base service fee) plus the extras a guest pays on top: transit log or comfort package with final cleaning, bed linen, towels, gas and tender, plus tourist tax of about €1 per person and day. For the Delphia 11 FlyLounge the extras are estimated. Fuel, harbour fees on the way and provisions also arise in own use and are not included. The saving is not charter income and is shown separately from the owner income. Owner weeks do not change the number of charter weeks; if owner weeks fall into popular weeks, other weeks are chartered instead.

Taxes: The calculation shows income before income tax. How charter income is taxed depends on residence and structure (private person, German or Croatian company). Please clarify this with your tax adviser.

Marked as estimate: There are no Delphia 11 in Croatian charter fleets yet. Weekly rates and occupancy are therefore estimates; motor yachts of this size were chartered considerably fewer weeks in Croatia in 2026 than sailing yachts.

Non-binding sample calculation, no guaranteed return and no tax advice. Actual income depends on bookings, condition of the yacht, charter base and contract. As of October 2026.
